Temperatures – Primary and secondary: flow and return temperatures.
Working Pressures – Primary and Secondary sides.
Steam Pressure (where applicable) – Operating pressure at the calorifier header chest and maximum steam working pressure available.
Alignment – Vertical or Horizontal.
Site Space Restrictions – To facilitate battery withdrawal (approximately 80% of shell length).
Materials of construction –
Shells: Mild steel/Copper/Stainless Steel/Cupronickel
Tubes: Copper/Stainless Steel/Cupronickel
Codes of Manufacture – Generally BS 853/96/A or PD5500.
Steam Heat Exchanger and Condense Cooler Packages
Condense Cooler – interconnected with steam heat exchanger, on common frame.
Steam Trap Set – Fitted in condensate pipework between steam exchanger and condense cooler.
Options
Condensate receiver vessels – Copper/Galvanised mild steel/Stainless steel.
Condensate Pump Set – Mechanical or electrical pumps.
Control and high limit shut off valves – direct acting/electric/pneumatic.
