Vessels can be manufactured from the following materials whichever suits site conditions, water quality or pressure requirements.
- Copper lined steel shells are the ideal choice when size and pressure dictate that solid copper becomes an expensive option. Copper lined vessels offer the dual benefit of a steel outer shell for strength with an internal copper lining for corrosion resistance. An anti-vacuum valve is fitted as standard to these vessels.
- Solid copper shells manufactured to BS 2870 – C106.
- Carbon steel shells manufactured from boiler quality plate to BS 1501 - 151/161-430A.
- Austenitic stainless steel shells in 316L or 304L. Duplex stainless steel also available.
- Galvanised steel shells are only recommended for hard water areas. Supplied with a sacrificial magnesium anode.
